Established in 1983, the Gladhander is the area's premier gala event complete with silent and live auctions plus a renowned raffle prize drawing! Since the first Gladhander, the event has raised more than $8.7 million to support Grand Traverse Area Catholic Schools.
You can participate in Gladhander in a variety of ways:
Donate and receive recognition in the Gladhander catalog, plus the loyal patronage of the Schools' many friends and supporters; donations may be tax-deductible.
Attend and be part of the fun while enjoying elegant dinner/drinks, and plenty of opportunities to visit among friends new and old. There's even a midnight breakfast buffet!
Volunteer and experience the miraculous transformation of the school by sharing your time and talents. It's unlike anything you've ever seen before.

General Information
Established in 1983, the Gladhander is a formal event complete with silent and live auctions, and online auction, and a raffle for a brand new car! Since the first Gladhander, the event has raised over $8.7 million for GTACS, a significant contribution in providing a Christ-centered, quality education for our students. All are welcome!

Gladhander Volunteers
Gladhander could not be accomplished without the help of more than 450 volunteers! From decorations to raffle solicitations to staffing the "Main Event," volunteers are the reason for Gladhander's phenomenal success. Main Event/Auction Night - SATURDAY
Attend and be part of the area's finest fundraiser, complete with live auction, silent auction, dinner/drinks, exciting raffle prizes, and plenty of opportunities to socialize and mingle. There's even a midnight breakfast buffet to fuel you for late-night entertainment. Event tickets are $150 each, and early purchase is recommended as the event often is a sell-out. Corporate tables are also available.
Preview Night - FRIDAY
Can't come to Gladhander this year? Preview Night was designed to give everyone an opportunity to enjoy the amazing decorations and festive ambience that transforms Holy Angels Elementary/St. Francis High School into a magical setting. Preview Night is free and open to the public, and refreshments are served. Silent auction bidding is also available, and raffle tickets will be offered for sale for your convenience. Event begins at 5:00 or 5:30 p.m. and runs til approximately 9:00 p.m.
Raffle Information (License #C25759)
The Gladhander raffle generates plenty of excitement, thanks to a top prize of your choice of a 2013 BMW 328xi, a 2013 Cadillac SRX, or $32,000 in cash! Fourteen additional cash prizes are also given away, and tickets sold prior to September 22 are eligible for an additional, "early bird" drawing which is held during the Homecoming game. Tickets are $125 each or two for $200. Your purchase helps provide financial assistance and funding vital to the continued availability of a top quality, Christ-centered education in Traverse City.

A SPECIAL EARLY BIRD DRAWING for $500 was held during halftime of the St. Francis homecoming game on Saturday, September 22 at approximately 2:30 p.m. This year's winners were Tim and Cindy Weber!
